The 23rd Annual Kutztown University
Children's Literature Conference
Saturday, April 17, 2021
The Children's Literature Conference is a collaborative initiative involving Kutztown's faculty and staff to provide current and future educators the opportunity to experience the work of award-winning authors and illustrators. Each year the conference strives to present attendees with new ideas on a variety of topics such as the integration of learning, reading and writing with personal experiences of students, facilitating childhood literacy through the exploration of different genres, and effective use of nonfiction reading materials across all subject areas. We hope that our event will encourage those in attendance to challenge themselves and others to be active and creative in the learning process.

Letter from the Children’s Literature Conference Committee
Greetings from the Kutztown University Children’s Literature Conference Committee!
We are busy preparing for the 23rd Annual Kutztown University Children’s Literature Conference scheduled for Saturday, April 17, 2021. We have decided that holding a virtual conference is the best option for all of us!
All of our authors/illustrators have agreed to present. We are excited to have Tonya Bolden, Laurie Wallmark, Lesa Cline-Ransome, and James Ransome as our presenters.
We will not accept any applications for the conference until the New Year. You will notice that the cost for the conference has been reduced to $25 to accommodate our challenging financial times. All of KU's Staff and students are free! Send us an email at ChildLitConfKU@gmail.com to register using a valid KU email.
Keep visiting our website for updates on the conference. Please save the date and plan on attending an exciting literary event.
Stay safe and healthy! We look forward to "seeing" you in April.
