The 25th Annual Kutztown University
Children's Literature Conference

Saturday, April 15, 2023

The Children's Literature Conference is a collaborative initiative involving Kutztown's faculty and staff to provide current and future educators the opportunity to experience the work of award-winning authors and illustrators. Each year the conference strives to present attendees with new ideas on a variety of topics such as the integration of learning, reading and writing with personal experiences of students, facilitating childhood literacy through the exploration of different genres, and effective use of nonfiction reading materials across all subject areas. We hope that our event will encourage those in attendance to challenge themselves and others to be active and creative in the learning process.
25 Years of Celebrating Children's Literature! We are so excited about this year. We will celebrate a week of children's literature on campus with a book fair for KU students, virtual school visits with Sophie Blackall and Alan Gratz, Teen Library Day with Candice Iloh, and the full day conference April 15th. We have some exciting events planned to celebrate our 25th year. So, hurry and register your class for a virtual classroom visit and for the conference.
